  1. Look them up in a dictionary.
  2. Mayor is the spokesperson for a town, city or municipality. Sheriff is the leader of the county deputies who enforce laws. Coroner cleans up all the dead people the other 2 are responsible for.
  3. while sheriff is a chief law officer of a county/city, the mayor is in charge of a civic body. the sheriff ha judicial powers.
  4. There are different branches of government. The sherriff deals with the enforcement of laws that have been created by the legislature. He has no power over creating these laws, simply has the responsibility for making sure they are followed. The mayor oversees the day-to-day operations of the local government. He'll have funds city funds that he can allocate for different purposes. He neither creates nor enforces the laws that govern the city. The coroner has a responsibility that is completely different that these other individuals. His job duties revolve around deaths. He may be responsibly for examining someone after they have died and determining the most likely cause of their death.
  5. Harrold's answer is correct!!
  6. Andy Griffith is Sheriff and Barney is Deputy.
  7. The sheriff handles law enforcement for a county. The mayor handles town or city administration, and the coroner deals with the causes of death--they aren't even close.
