Iowa Sheriff

How late can I get served papers from a sheriff?

I live in Iowa. I know that I have some papers coming my way from the sheriff. (eviction papers) Is there a certain time that he has to stop coming over? And is it only one sheriff that gets my case, or can it be passed on to the next person that is working?

  1. The papers can be served by any process server, not just a member of the sheriff's office. They can be served any time, day or night! Strangely enough, some people will try to avoid the process server, therefore the server's job is difficult. They can serve you at home, work, or anywhere they catch up to you!
