Iowa Sheriff

Does anyone know the new digital scanner frequency for Fremont County Sheriff office in Colorado?

I'm using a digital scanner, (Radioshack Pro-96) I've tried Google, Yahoo, you name it- I've been searching for weeks. Most websites I've checked are outdated and have the old freq., or nothing listed for my area at all. *I know the Canon City Police, Colorado State Patrol and the Fremont County sheriff use the same Control Channel (853.9625 and 853.425) and they each have their own "talkgroup" ID numbers. The old one was "analog" 154.845) I can get Canon Police and State Patrol real clear on these freq, but not Fremont Sheriff Office. I know that Fremont County "talkgroup" is 4377, but when they talk, it sounds "digital" (screechy-computerized sounding)-like it's close to the right freq, but not quite exact, if that makes any sense. I also read that the FCC has "rebanded" Colorado 800mhz frequencies and moved them down 15mhz, whatever that means. **I have MS and I'm in wheelchair, I'm stuck indoors 24/7, 7 days a week, and listening to the scanner helps me feel more in-touch with the outside world, so any info would be very much appreciated. And so after many hours of searching the internet, I just thought I'd see if maybe, someone here knows, or if not, Does anyone know of Colorado scanner website/forum/chat room or some place where I could ask someone? {I tried to signup at "RadioReference.com" and "ScanAmerica.us, chat/forums", but never received an activation e-mail to enter their websites.} These are supposed to be the top two websites. I don't know where else to ask:( Thankyou so much for your time :)

  1. You need to set the Pro 96 into Motorola P25 Digital Trunking Mode and enter frequencies for your site into the channels. http://support.radioshack.com/support_el... Page 33 has your instructions. Don't worry about rebanding for Colorado its over. Just for Info: http://www.wpascanner.com/wiki/index.php... This software may help you to program the unit: http://www.starrsoft.com/software/win96/ You need the frequencies of the system AND the talkgroup. A frequency like 154.430 is not the same thing when your working with trunked radio systems. You need 4 channels at a minimum which is the main control channel and the 3 backup/alternates for the site(s) in your area. Program these 4 channels into the unit per the instructions for a Motorola APCO P25 (P25) system on page 33. Site one in your area: 852.325 852.9625 853.425 853.975 Site two in your area: 852.8375 853.150 853.4625 853.9625 Program into SEPARATE banks for each. Program the SAME TALKGROUPS into each bank.
